Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need a relevant Master's degree, or a B.E./B.Tech in Biotechnology, from a recognised university, in a discipline matching the specific domain post they apply for — such as Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Anthropology, Biology or Human Biology, Life Science, Biochemistry, Genetics, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or Forensic Science with Zoology/Botany as a subject through all three years of a B.Sc. Other domains under this recruitment (Chemistry, Physics, Documents, Ballistics, Photography, Cyber Forensics, Psychology, and similar) require the corresponding postgraduate or professional qualification as notified against that specific post code. No prior work experience is required — fresh postgraduates who meet the qualification criteria are eligible to apply.
Pay Scale
Junior Scientific Assistant posts under this recruitment carry Pay Level-5 of the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a pay scale of ₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (Group 'C', Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial), plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, and other perks admissible to Government of NCT of Delhi employees.
Selection Process
All Junior Scientific Assistant (FSL) posts under Advt. 03/2026 are filled through a single-stage Computer-Based Test — there is no separate skill test or interview round. Selected candidates are also required to complete a mandatory induction training period before joining, as per DSSSB norms. Applications are accepted online only, and the application fee is waived for SC, ST, PwBD, women, and ex-servicemen candidates.
Exam Pattern: What the 200-Mark CBT Looks Like
DSSSB conducts a single-tier Computer-Based Test with 200 objective-type questions carrying 200 marks, to be completed in 2 hours.
