Deadly Car Blast Near Red Fort Sparks Panic in Central Delhi
On 10 November 2025, a strong explosion took place near Gate-1 of the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi around 6:55 pm. A Hyundai i20 car suddenly exploded while it was standing near the traffic signal. Immediately other vehicles around also caught fire.
According to several news, at least 8 people lost their lives and more than 20 people were injured. Several cars, auto rickshaws and nearby properties were damaged. The area had been always very crowded. So, panic spread in seconds and people started running in different directions.
Police, fire brigade and emergency teams reached within 10–15 minutes at the scene of incident. The fire was controlled by around 7:30 pm ,almost after half an hour.
