Delhi Crime Branch Busts International Drug Syndicate; Five Nigerian Nationals Arrested
The Delhi Police Crime Branch has struck a major blow to an international narcotics network operating across the National Capital Region, arresting five Nigerian nationals and recovering high-value narcotic substances including MDMA, cocaine, and ecstasy pills worth nearly ₹3 crore. The operation was led by Eastern Range-I Crime Branch and followed a string of coordinated raids based on precise intelligence inputs.
Intelligence Sparks Multi-Layered Operation
The crackdown began on 31 October 2025, when ASI Joginder Tomar received reliable information about illegal MDMA supply in Delhi. The intel was immediately relayed to senior officers, following which a dedicated team — comprising SI Jitender, ASI Sandeep Chawla, ASI Ashok, ASI Aadesh Tyagi, and several constables — was formed under the leadership of Inspector Lichhman and supervision of ACP Sunil Srivastava.
Acting swiftly, the team apprehended the first accused, Ngoji Victor @ Jeff, near Nawada Metro Station. A lawful search led to the recovery of 100 grams of MDMA and 40 ecstasy pills, marking the first major breakthrough in the case.
More Arrests Follow as Network Unravels
Building on the initial arrest, the Crime Branch deployed technical surveillance and ground intelligence to identify other members of the syndicate. The efforts soon led investigators to a residence in Kiran Garden, Uttam Nagar, where three more Nigerian nationals — Aniagoh Daniel, Eze Roland, and Johnson Okoro — were apprehended.
A subsequent search of the premises, conducted at the instance of accused Roland, resulted in the seizure of 223 grams of high-grade cocaine and 22 grams of MDMA, further exposing the organized nature of the cartel’s operations.
During interrogation, Roland identified another key associate, Onuoha James @ IK @ Prince, who was located and arrested from Nilothi. Police recovered an additional 15 grams of MDMA from his possession.
